Looking for local news stories and advertisements about Jimi Hendrix, the famous guitarist born in Seattle? Try the digitized version of the Seattle Times that currently covers from 1896 through 1969. You can search for specific articles (see search example below) or browse through the newspaper page by page. This digitized version of the Seattle Times is currently on trial until April 1st. Given the current budget situation it is not known if the libraries will be able to purchase this database so use it while you can. Please email your comments to me at jalbano@u.washington.edu

**Note: Off-campus access is restricted to current UW students, faculty, and staff. To access this trial database from off campus, follow these steps:
- go to www.lib.washington.edu
- click the "off campus access log in" button near the top right corner of the screen and log in using your UW NetID
